About Tim

Tim started woodcarving with visits after school to a local woodcarver. After leaving school he worked for a local furniture makers who made high quality bespoke and reproduction furniture.

King Charles Royal Cypher

King Charles Royal Cypher and decorative leaves, made from oak, then polished, painted and gilded. Made to replace the ‘ER’ for King Charles coronation.

It’s in The Yeoman Warders club, in the Tower of London.

Yes I can supply the timber. I have some timber in stock and I use several different timber yards giving me access to a large variety of different timbers.
Yes I can carve any font if you have a name or example of it. 

If the work is unable to be moved, I can come to you to do the work. 

All my carving is done by hand using traditional carving methods and tools. This gives more depth and detail in the carvings.

Yes you can visit the workshop, but it’s best to call or message first to make sure I’m in.

Yes, I can do antique restoration.

Yes, if you have the item it is easier to make a copy, but it can be done from photographs, drawings or online references.

Yes I can repair most wooden items including furniture, architectural woodwork, picture and mirror frames and sculptures.

Yes I do my own gilding with oil or water gilding. I do painting, but for some jobs I might use a specialist painter.
